Embracing the Cornerstones of Integrative Medicine In My Daily Life

nutrition

Nutrition

I follow an anti-inflammatory diet, which took several years to adopt. It has resulted in a love of cooking and gardening.

mind body

Mind-Body

For me, this is stress management with a daily meditation practice. I also incorporate relaxation tools, depending on the needs of the day.

movement or runner

Movement

I was a runner in high school and college. I’m learning that it’s even more critical to focus on the three major areas of movement — strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness — to maintain function as we age.

community

Community

Time spent with my family and friends, and participating in my community are very important to me. It’s one of the reasons that I have a part-time practice.
